I have interned for the Chamber two separate summers and still intern remotely while at college! As an intern, I focus most on Tourism projects to help promote local businesses, attractions, and events in Owatonna!
Digital Passports
After setting it up on the backend, I got to design flyers, create digital ads, and develop a content calendar to promote the challenge on the Visit Owatonna Facebook page. These were posts for Facebook that I designed in Canva to promote the Tour Our Town Pass.
Tour Our Town Challenge
I worked with a team from Bandwango to create a digital "Tour Our Town Challenge" designed to promote businesses in Owatonna. Participants download the pass and check in on their phones when they visit the participating venues. Each check-in earns them a point, which can then be redeemed for prizes after reaching 5, 15, and 25 points.

Hometown Holidays Passport
The Hometown Holidays Passport was the second digital pass I created. It included all of Owatonna's festive events for the holiday season. I completed this and made a few flyers in Canva while interning remote.
SHRPA Blogs
Shrpa is a platform dedicated to connecting people with local adventures. My roles was to put together an online version of the Owatonna Historic Walking Tour. By having the locations put together online, people can easily see the attractions and their stories.
This experience allowed me to develop a deeper connection to my community and contribute to its promotion in a meaningful way.
